The digitisation phenomena characterised by new technologies innovated out of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the 21st century offers unprecedented breakthroughs such as artificial intelligence, Big Data analytics, edge computing, Internet and social media. The Tanzania Education and Research Network (TERNET), through its first international conference on digital transformation in education and research, is inviting practitioners, researchers, and industrialists to explore novel ideas, share topical research findings, discuss lessons learned and success stories, map out major challenges, and collectively debate on future directions for education and research.
Building on the theme for UbuntuNet-Connect 2020, “Repositioning Research and Education During Crises,” UbuntuNet-Connect 2021 will take stock of the milestones and success stories the Research and Education community has so far achieved in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Conference will be held as a hybrid event (online and physically in Livingstone, Zambia) from 10-12 November 2021. UbuntuNet-Connect 2021 will thus be held under the theme “Turning Challenges into Opportunities: Research and Education Success Stories During Covid-19”.
Network connectivity in different forms and sizes is our core business. Additional services on top of the network are being rolled out continuously for the member NRENs to use themselves or offer them to their institutions.
