Video & Web Conferencing
Real-time collaboration, web or video conferencing, different names for a service that covers a wide spectrum: From ad-hoc instant messages and chats to high-definition tele-presence systems using dedicated hardware.
UbuntuNet Alliance has been closely following the rapid development in this field for some time. We came to the conclusion that it doesn’t make sense to provide an alternative to the freely available and well-established lower end solutions like Skype or Google Hangouts.
We do however see added value in providing solutions that offer extensive collaboration functionality and/or focus on delivering high-quality solutions for use cases that demand excellent video and audio quality.
