UbuntuNet Alliance Welcomes Two Esteemed Professionals to their Team

We are delighted to announce the newest additions to the UbuntuNet Alliance team- Mr. Shadreck Kalitera, our new Assistant Accountant, and Mr. Aubrey Kondowe, our new Procurement Officer. Both individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles, further strengthening our commitment to excellence in research and education networking across the region.

Mr Shareck Kalitera

With 15 years of professional experience in Auditing, Taxation, and Accounting, Mr. Shadreck Kalitera is a seasoned accountant with a proven track record. He is an active member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi, holding a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from The University of Malawi, the Polytechnic. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Finance at UNICAF University, Shadreck is also an Individual Member of the International Water Association.

His previous roles include working with Tsogolo La Thanzi Research Centre, the Malawi National Council of Sports, SABMiller Chibuku Products Limited, KCC Finance Associates, and the Water Services Association of Malawi. Shadreck has excelled in various capacities, demonstrating his skills in audits, advisory roles, and financial management. His commitment to integrity and excellence aligns seamlessly with the values of UbuntuNet Alliance, and we are thrilled to welcome him to our team.

Mr. Aubrey Kondowe

Mr. Aubrey Kondowe joins us as a seasoned Procurement and Supply Chain Management Specialist with a decade of experience in planning, executing, and managing procurement programs. Aubrey holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Saint Augustine University of Tanzania and is currently enrolled in an MBA program.

Aubrey’s diverse background includes roles at Zomba City Council, the National Construction Industry Council of Malawi, The Global Fund, Global Alliance on Vaccine and Immunizations-GAVI, and the Competition and Fair-Trading Commission of Malawi. Throughout his career, he has led the development and implementation of project procurement and implementation plans, demonstrating his expertise in procurement planning, strategy formulation, tendering process management, and contract administration.

His commitment to ensuring compliance and smooth procurement processes, while exploring innovative approaches, aligns perfectly with UbuntuNet Alliance’s goals. We are confident that Aubrey will play a pivotal role in enhancing our procurement practices and contributing to the continued success of our organization.
