In line with its commitment to catalyzing collaboration in research and education, KENET has announced a Call for Proposals for Research and Innovation Grants in Educational Technologies (EdTech) for the academic year 2023/2024. This initiative aims to support faculty members in exploring innovative applications of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in teaching and learning.
Focus and Eligibility:
The focus of this round of funding is on the “Innovative use-cases for applying Generative AI in teaching and learning.” The call is open to full-time faculty at KENET member institutions who hold a Ph.D. and actively teach computer science, engineering, or materials science courses that emphasize technical skills and competencies. The eligible course must be actively offered with enrolled students during the grant period.
Submission Deadline:
Interested applicants are invited to submit concept notes with supporting documentation via email to edutechgrants@kenet.or.ke by 24th November 2023, 5:00 PM EAT.
Community Building and Collaboration:
KENET aims not only to support individual teams but also to foster institutional collaboration and the formation of communities of practice in the specified focus area. The goal is to facilitate knowledge sharing and experience exchange on leveraging Generative AI to enhance educational experiences and outcomes within member institutions.
