Have you ever thought of having a virtual National Research and Education Network (vNREN)? Well, RedCLARA, the Latin American Research and Education Network is now calling on institutions domicile in countries that do not have NRENs in the region to sign up for vREN.
Under the new service, a research and education community in country without an NREN can get access to benefits exclusive to the conventional National Research and Education Networks.
“The vREN service allows an institution to implement, in the cloud, the necessary infrastructure of services needed to account with a National Federation of Identity, allowing access to services that are very important to the scientific academic community, such as eduroam and also preferential rates on services and events,” reads a statement on RedCLARA’s website.
