In a drive to help National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) own cloud service infrastructure, UbuntuNet Alliance has launched a series of webinars aimed at drilling NREN network and systems engineers on how their can set up and operate their own cloud systems.
The webinar series kicked off in August 2020 with the first seminar on Planning and Design Considerations for an NREN Cloud taking place on 25th August.
The August 25th webinar, convened by the UbuntuNet Alliance newly recruited Service Portfolio Manager, Nosiku Sikanyika, was held in partnership with the Research and Education Network of Uganda (RENU) and facilitated by RENU engineer, William Kibirango.
This was a first in a line of 3 webinars which the Alliance will host with different stakeholders and partners within the next two months.
Two more webinars, one on Implementation of the Cloud and another on Scaling the Cloud will be held on later to be confirmed dates.
