Meet us at the 2025 AAU General Conference!

UbuntuNet Alliance is excited to announce its participation as an exhibitor at the upcoming Association of African Universities (AAU) General Conference, taking place from 21st to 25th July 2025. The Alliance will be showcasing its key services, initiatives, and strategic direction to the higher education and research community from across the continent.

Organized by the Association of African Universities (AAU), the General Conference is a premier gathering of vice-chancellors, rectors, presidents, and top-level representatives from African universities and higher education institutions. The 2025 edition will be held under the theme “Shaping the future of higher education for innovation and sustainable development in Africa”. UbuntuNet Alliance’s participation builds on the strategic partnership between the two organizations, formalized through a long standing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that supports mutual collaboration in advancing research and education networking across Africa.

UbuntuNet Alliance is taking part in the AAU General Conference as an exhibitor, following a successful presence in 2023. At this year’s exhibition booth, visitors can expect to learn more about the Alliance’s work in connecting universities through high-speed research and education networks, the AfricaConnect3 project, its efforts in capacity-building, community-driven platforms such as AfricArXiv and Utafiti Africa, and future opportunities and projects for available for the African research and education community.

The General Conference offers a unique opportunity for university leaders, researchers, and partners to meet with the UbuntuNet Alliance team, learn about the value of National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), and explore areas for future collaboration. We warmly invite all participants who will attend to visit our booth, engage with our team, and discover how UbuntuNet Alliance is helping transform higher education and research through connectivity and cooperation.
